Trusting God Through it All

"God always gives His best to those who leave the choice to Him."
Psalm 37:7

I have learned a lot about myself and the way God works through me over the past couple months.

The most impact-full thing I have learned is that God may give me tough situations in my life, and some things that I've worked so hard for to get don't become a reality.  Through these events, I've learned that God doesn't always grant me those wishes or gets me out of tough situations as fast as I would like.  But, through it all I know that He has something much better coming my way.

In all of the tough situations I have been in, God has given me the greatest gift.  The gift of trust.  At first, it was so hard for me to put everything I had in the hands of God.  There were times when I stopped trusting because it felt like I was in a dead spot trying to achieve what I wanted to happen.  I thought God and the world were working against me.

The main thing that got me through was God's word.  Opening my Bible and listening to the signs from God to seek a better understanding led me to a realization.  God is even more of a mystery than I thought!  Yet, He knows us so well and understands COMPLETELY what each and every one of us are going through.

As I started to realize this,  I knew what I had to do.  I had to be vulnerable even when I felt unguarded and I had to put ALL of my trust in Him even when I felt unsure.  With time, it became easier to give myself up to God.  During this time is when I started to embrace everyone and everything in my life, because I knew they all had a purpose of being in my life.

Learning to trust God through everyone and everything He places in my life is so rewarding :)  Now, it's easier to see that my blessings far outweigh my hardships.  It's still and always will be a work in progress for me, but I know that with God's power and grace, great things will happen :)
