Recently, my mother and I took a little trip to Minneapolis! It was a great day filled with beautiful art and a lot of wind as you can probably tell in the picture above!
My favorite section of art was the ink paintings by Minol Araki. The paintings were so elegant, and I loved how they had a soft look to them. Looking at his paintings made me wonder how big his art studio was because most of his paintings were fifty to seventy feet long!
**Side note: I have to talk about how TINY some of the side streets in Minneapolis are. The streets are two-way, but in reality, only one car can drive through at a time! So, we had to take turns with oncoming traffic in order to get by. It was so nerve racking trying to navigate around so many cars. **Okay side note over ;)
The Art Institute building itself is a wonder! It's pretty easy to get lost in it, but don't let that scare you away from it. While we were walking, my mom and I came across this little, but not so little room. It had ceilings that were so tall and pretty! Haha who knew ceilings could be so amazing?! They were white with intricate designs that were so elegant. And, the marble fountain in the middle of the room completed the perfect space.
Unrelated to art, I want to tell you about my shoes! The Target shoe section has been coming in clutch lately with their new brand, A New Day. I wore them for the first time this weekend, and I love them so much. Thanks mom! The new shoes are perfect because they're unique and when I first saw them, they caught my eye right away. Now I'm ready to take on Spring :)
